Our mountaintop engagement session! | Greg & Jess Photography

This guy takes the cake when it comes to the fiancé role.

This past weekend, I had to travel out of town for a wedding I was shooting – which, might I add, was absolutely awe-inspiring. It was wondrous. Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous, 80-degree day. I was on cloud nine. A little sweaty, but still on cloud nine nonetheless. On the drive home, I was looking so forward to taking a long shower, crawling into bed, and sleeping the week away.

When I walked through the door, I came home to a completely different house.

All the laundry had been done.

All the floors had been swept and mopped. (ALL.)

The dishes were clean, and there was even a plate of food saved for me in the fridge.

It was ribeye steak. And potatoes. And sweet onions. And bruschetta tomatoes. (I have Harris and Makayla to thank for the potatoes and tomatoes.) 🙂

Oh, my God.

How did I get so blessed?

Cody – everything leading up to this day has been perfect. When you asked me to be your wife – it didn’t matter if we were in Key West, Paris, the Bahamas, Nashville, or at Gross Farms in between the pumpkin patch and the asparagus field – I would’ve reacted the same way. Every little thing leading up to this day – and our wedding day – has been perfect. The magic isn’t just in the moment, it’s every little detail leading up to that and everything after that. The long hours. The slow kisses. The madness. The messy, precious, amazing things that make our life so perfect. Me and you. A grateful heart must be a magnet for miracles. I’m grateful, and you are my miracle.

Thank you to Greg and Jess Photography of Nashville, Tennessee for the most breathtaking images and amazing experience!
