Where do I begin with these two?!

The highlight of my summer was doubling as Jessica and Christian’s friend + wedding photographer! These two make me SO happy and I was so THRILLED that their big day had finally arrived! The bride and groom chose to have a foot washing ceremony and y’all – talk about beautiful. John 13:14-17 says: “Now that I, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also should wash one another’s feet. I have set you as an example that you should do as I have done for you. Very truly I tell you, no servant is greater than his master, nor is a messenger greater than the one who sent him. Now that you know these things, you will be blessed if you do them.”

Feet washing symbolizes humility and service – and this whole-heartedly describes Jessica & Christian. They care for those around them with everything they’ve got. Their love and respect for one another is evident and I was so honored to be able to capture it!

Right before their ceremony, they were calling for terrible thunderstorms. While waiting for the ceremony to begin, everyone stared at the large dark cloud quickly approaching – some even grabbed umbrellas preparing for the downpour.

But God knew what he was doing.

As Jessica and Christian said their vows, the wind picked up and began blowing her dress and the flowers on the cross. It was breathtaking to watch! We looked above and watched as the sky turned completely dark – making for STUNNING portraits! Just before Christian kissed his bride, the sky opened up. Not a drop of rain.

How AMAZING is our God?

At the end of the night just before sunset, we felt the presence of God again after watching a rainbow make its way across the field. It made for a beautiful backdrop, and another reminder of God’s promises <3
