It was the day before Liz graduated college. Rogelio asked his sister, Angelica, to take Liz to get a manicure as a part of her graduation gift. Little did Liz know, Angelica played a huge part in their proposal story. (!!!) During their time at the nail salon, Angelica walked outside and returned carrying a notebook in her hand. She opened the notebook for Liz and she read the first line.

“Lizbeth, Welcome to your graduation scavenger hunt!”

Her heart starting racing! She noticed that the notebook was divided into three parts – in each section, Rogelio would point out clues as to where Liz would be heading next (!!!)

In the first section, Rogelio sent Liz to the spot where they first met, which was followed by the spot where they would meet at the beginning of their relationship. In the last section, Rogelio sent Liz to the spot where they first kissed! SO sweet!! Liz, of course, drove to each place, with the last one ending about an hour away from the first location!

Each spot had such a great significance in their relationship – and at every location, Rogelio had written letters to Liz expressing just that 🙂

After reading the last page, Rogelio’s sister, best friend, and mother asked Liz to close her eyes, and they gently walked her to the “finish line” of her “graduation” scavenger hunt 🙂 When Liz opened her eyes, Rogelio was down on one knee in a bed of roses that spelled out “Marry Me” <3

Liz and Rogelio are the sweetest souls – I am SO blessed to be a able to document their amazing love story! Their joy is found in each other and it is SO evident – especially the way they smile at each other even when there isn’t a camera around 🙂
