William had planned on proposing to Mollie in a completely DIFFERENT place –

When Mollie and William arrived in Charleston, William already had the entire weekend planned. Mollie thought they were going to Charleston for a business trip for William, and she was happy to tag along. One day while on his “business trip”, William suggested they walk around town and spend the day enjoying Charleston. While strolling downtown Charleston, William headed towards the spot where he had planned to pop the question.

“When we got there, there was a crowd of people waiting for a tour to begin! I couldn’t propose there! We kept walking as I tried to plan an entire new place to do it.”

Mollie had NO idea! William knew he had to do it soon, too, because he had also planned a meal afterwards with their parents!! Realizing the plan had changed and he had NO way to tell anyone, he kept searching for the perfect spot. After walking for what felt like forever – he found it.

William asked Mollie to marry him at a spot with a BEAUTIFUL backdrop – near The Battery in Charleston. If you’ve been there, you know EXACTLY what I’m talking about! Spanish moss and live oaks EVERYWHERE 🙂
