Jay said something that I’ll never forget…

Oh, guys! Where do I begin?! North Carolina has been showing off lately with this lovely 75 degree weather, and yesterday was no exception. I was so honored to be a part of Katie and Jay’s fairytale wedding! Their story has quickly become a favorite of mine!

Jay is a boot-wearing, hard working Georgia boy and he met sweet Katie while traveling for work in New York. Katie is such an angel. From the moment Katie contacted me, I knew I would have so much fun with her and Jay – she was so excited to be planning a wedding in NC at The Farm on Cotton, and I was beyond thrilled for them! On several occasions, we just wanted to hug each other through emails! I am still in awe that she planned her North Carolina wedding all the way from NY!

As soon as I met their families, it all made sense. Katie and Jay’s family and friends were so unbelievably welcoming and kind. I talked with them like I had known them forever, and by the end of the evening, I felt like I was a part of their family.

After strolling through the apple orchard at the back of the property, we found the perfect spot for a few portraits of Katie and Jay. While shooting, we began talking about their honeymoon, their new house, and how they met…and Jay said something I’ll never forget.
