Sam’s Grandfather shared the sweetest story with me –

When Alison and Sam began planning their wedding, they searched their calendars for the perfect date. They knew they wanted a summer wedding, and they already had their hearts set on the perfect location.

Alison soon realized that the date they had chosen also happened to be Sam’s Grandfather’s Wedding Date – and on Saturday, June 10th, 2017, it would be Sam’s grandparents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Alison asked Sam’s Grandfather if it would be okay if her and Sam said “I do” on such a special day – and Sam’s Grandfather replied, “Oh, Alison. I would be honored if you and Sam got married on our anniversary!”

He went on to tell me how Alison has brought such joy to his life. He stated, “I’ve never seen Sam as happy as he is when he is with her. He’s got a good one. She is so special to our family.”

*tears*

Through the ceremony, the toasts, and the first dances, it was clear how treasured this day was to both Alison and Sam, as well as their families. Sam’s daughter, Gracelyn, played a very special part in the wedding ceremony that brought both laughs and tears to the guests. Gracelyn provided her very own glass of sand for the sand ceremony, and she even shared the first bite of cake with Sam and Alison!

Sam, Alison, and Gracelyn!! I am so blessed by you! This day was filled with meaningful moments and I’m so honored to have been a part of it. Thank you for making my job extra joy-filled in every way.
